Today, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee heard
testimony about  how unfair it is for women who have to wait in line
to go to the bathroom in federal buildings.  Rep. Edolphus Towns
(D-NY) chairman of the committee who authored the legislation needs to
hear from us that maybe, at this time in our economic history, we need
to flush this bill. The committee heard how equal 1-1 toilets need to
be installed in order to provide parity and that women are getting
diseases because they have to hold it while they stand in line and how
their men folk have to spend a lot of time waiting on them and that
just isn’t fair.

Number of red flags:

l.  That this is even being aired in a House of Representatives
committee should cause concern.  Are we turning into such a nanny
state, that we whine about waiting in line at the bathroom and start
demanding TAXPAYER dollars to fix this so-called “problem?”

2.  If the Federal government listens and then passes such laws, know
that it is a matter of time before they come after the privately run
mom and pop shops across America and mandate they install more
bathrooms.  Prepare for the these places to simply shut down.  Who can
afford costly renovations when they are already being taxed to death?

3.  Last time I checked, just as there is no HEALTH Clause in the
Constitution, neither is there a POTTY clause.  Nope, there is no
Constitutional grounds on which to run with this, but when has that
stopped so many of these politicians from ramming it down our throats?
